LAG November 2010 One-Off

Life’s A Game Nov 2010 One-Off (15th November 2010) – Click this link and then download when prompted.

Back for the first time since Series 2 ended in March, the Life’s A Game radio show is back on http://www.wiredradio.co.uk! Well, Mondays at 6pm from January 2011 to March. The third series will contain around 10 shows in total.

This week it turned out we had a one-off and here it is!
Why weren’t you given any prior warning like last time? Because true awesomeness doesn’t prepare itself! It waits to rock your face and your genitals and the genitals on your face and the faces on your genitals!
…Or more accurately I was only told the day before and thus didn’t have any real time to drum up hype. I don’t even really have a poster image for this series like I did series 2. Still, what can we expect from this third series? Well, much the same as last time. I’ll still be talking about videogames, playing music I love and want to share and mostly improvising what I talk about with hopefully some guest segments.

What happened, basically is that I thought this episode would be the first of a short 5 week return, but Wired Radio decided to delay its reopening until January allowing more time for hype and such forth. So this ended up being a one-off, and not as previously thought, the beginning of Series 3 of Life’s A Game. Sorry for the confusion.

If you liked it before, you’ll love it now and if you didn’t like it before then hopefully this’ll change your mind!
If you haven’t heard it before, then now’s the best time to get into it, and don’t forget to check out the first two series if you have the spare time and dedication :)

This week was the epic return which also ran for 10 minutes longer than it would have due to the person after not showing up. I want to apologise for the fact the first 10 minutes of the show are very quiet and also for any feedback loops caused by recording the show.

The show does not feature the original music that was played, due to podcasting/copyright reasons, but the song introductions (Ie, “This song is…”) are kept in so you know what the songs to allow you to listen to them of your own accord, and also because editing those out makes the shows sound awkward, makes the editing a needlessly longer process and breaks the flow.

Each song listed in the playlists below are linked to a YouTube video with the song in, if you don’t have the songs yourself.
To Download, find the show, click the show name, and you should find yourself on mediafire, with the show name, and a hyperlink saying “Click here to download”. Simply click it, and the prompt to download the show will come up. Do so, and enjoy :D
All shows are 128kbs.

For their tweets during the show the best I can do is suggest is that you click the following link and look at the tweets sent November 15th 2010: http://twitter.com/#!/search/jokesound
Trust me, it makes the show a lot funnier and helps it make a lot more sense.

Otherwise, thank you Markuz (@markuzr), Lorna (@Sketchstone), Preacher (@eruditeknight), Lee (@justbiglee), Pix3l (@Pix3lboy) and Kat (@xlibitinax) for your tweets and I recommend anyone reading to follow them on twitter and read their stuff on www.gaminglives.com.
