LAG Series 2: Episode 4: Reykjavik Takeover! – Summary

On Mondays at 5, I host a show called “Life’s a Game” at Wired Radio.
There’s two parts to it, basically:
1. I play music I like, that isn’t commonly heard, and occasionally, relate to videogames.
2. I talk about videogames.

This week, Theo, Joe and Tom, also known as Reykjavik ( were in the studio, taking over both my show, and Alex McLoughlin’s “Don’t Let Me Get Me”

Alex McLoughlin’s Don’t Let Me Get Me this week featured Brandon Jacobs, promoting his bands “Goodnight And I Wish” and Neil’s Children, as well as Theo Martin-Herbert, Joe French, and Thomas Close, promoting their band Reykjavik.

After Alex’s show, Reykjavik then featured on my show Life’s A Game, where they talked about games, and played three acoustic tracks: “The Song With No Name”, “The Fear That Gives Men Wings” and an Acoustic Instrumental of their upcoming single Donstantinople. The downloads are available below with the downloads for the show.

The Breakfast Show is a new endeavour by Wired Radio, in which from 10-11am, a program specifically for the purposes of the morning, with a different cast each day for you to wake up to :)
Tuesdays is broadcast with Ashleigh, Benen and Me at the helm, and while Natalie Preddie would normally overlook proceedings, she wasn’t here this week, either. Also, Benen was absent this week, and was sorely missed. Special thanks to Ashleigh for having to put up with me talking more, and come back soon, Benen! =[

Also, none of these shows will feature the original music that was played, due to podcasting/copyright reasons, but the song introductions (Ie, “This song is…”) are kept in for reasons of you knowing what the songs are so you can listen to them of your own accord, and also because editing those out makes the shows sound very awkward and badly flowing.
However, this week, my show will have the acoustic numbers by Reykjavik kept in the download file, so enjoy! :D

Each song listed in the playlists below are linked to a youtube video with the song in, if you don’t have the songs yourself.
I’ve moved files to mediafire, for my sake and yours. However, the process is still the same:

To Download, find the show, click the show name, and you should find yourself on mediafire, with the show name, and a hyperlink saying “Click here to download”. Simply click it, and the prompt to download the show will come up. Do so, and enjoy :D
All shows are 128kbs.
