In This Episode, We…

- Stick a finger up at innovation by talking about what we’ve been playing, which includes Mass Effect 3 (no spoilers), Shoot Many Robots, Golden Sun Dark Dawn, and an epic list from Richie that’s too numerous to name here.
– Pity our friend Ste, who recently gave up gaming for Lent, and discuss what the Gaming Industry should give up forever, not just for Lent.
– Drum up support for Chris’ forthcoming Battlefield 3 Marathon for the Charity Special-Effect, and encourage you to do likewise.
– Ponder on GAME being saved from the brink of administration, and whether there’s a future for retail after all.
– Resist the Dark Side that is Star Wars Kinect, complete with a mode where Han Solo dance battles against Lando, and debate who has it worse in gaming: Aliens fans or Star Wars fans?
– Prove we can somehow do worse than Lucasarts by attempting to pitch games that would somehow manage to be worse than Star Wars Kinect.
– Discover that EA have been voted the worst company in America, and question whether it’s deserved, or just part of the seemingly neverending backlash against Mass Effect 3.
– Once again prove we don’t need no stinkin’ changes, as we end the show, once again, on our recommendations of the week.

Thanks once again for listening, and we hope you enjoy! We’re planning something completely different for the next podcast, so stay tuned, and reach for the stars…

In This Episode, We…

- Start with dramatic reading by Richie in lieu of his absence from this episode.
– Talk about what we’ve been playing, which includes Avernum: Escape From the Pit, Mass Effect 3, Shoot Many Robots and Red Dead Redemption.
– Discuss GAME, because how could we not, really?
– Get historial with our discussion of the announcement of Assassin’s Creed 3, and whether we think the move to revolutionary America will make or break the series.
– Go under the sea with news that the Bioshock Movie Director has quit, and whether it’s a game that needs an adaptation anyway.
– Prove we can do one better than Hollywood by pitching our own videogame to movie adaptations.
– Review Metacritic in the wake of the news that Obsidian missed out on a bonus for New Vegas after failing to get 85 on Metacritic… they got 84.
– Retake retaking Mass Effect 3 in the wake of the Doctors’ announcement that Bioware will expand the ending (not change it) in the wake of fan backlash.
– End the show on our recommendations of the week.

Thanks once again for listening, and we hope you enjoy! We’ll be back soon for more unmissable podcasting gold!

Life’s A Game Series 4 Finale

Life’s A Game Series 4 Finale – 16th December 2011 – Click this link and then download when prompted.

The quest ends here.
After four series and thirty-two episodes, the Life’s A Game Radio Show is officially over.
And for the final episode, it’s a bit more of a retrospective for the show entire. There’s not too much game talk, but more about the industry itself at time, as well as a history of the show, and an extended thank you. It’s not the best send-off, but it’s a finale I’m happy with.

The final playlist for the show is below:
Leonard Cohen – Everybody Knows
A Day to Remember – You Had Me At Hello
Theory of a Deadman – Does It Really Matter?
Bowling for Soup – Turbulence
London Philharmonic Orchestra – Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty Theme
Barenaked Ladies – Break Your Heart
Linkin Park – The Messenger [Live]
Markuz Reid – What A Good Boy (Cover unavailable elsewhere, so here’s the original!)

Once more, I’d like to thank everyone who has ever listened in to the show, contributed to it, or been a part of it. I’d like to thank Wired Radio for giving me a chance, and allowing me to end up where I am now, and a big thank you to Ginx TV, Gaminglives and everyone else mentioned in the show. Hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did making it. :)

The Life’s A Game Radio Show is over…
Long live the Life’s A Game Podcast, returning in the New Year!
